Selenium works with scala language but ur application should be browser based application. Not like SAP based applications. To my knowledge spark is not browser based application. So u cant use selenium.

There work is to minimize manual intervention. they have to build scripts , cloud lo run cheyadam or jeniks configuration , mobile web apps payina automate cheyadam.

use BDD frame work for your application it suits to ur application.... and it is simple and easy ...
