The announcement comes after Sebastian Kurz called for snap elections amid the resignation of members of Austria's Freedom Party (FPÖ). Members of the party resigned after a video surfaced, allegedly linking Austria’s former vice chancellor, Heinz-Christian Strache, to corruption allegations.
