Non-Jatt Sikhs, hindus, and others support any part that is against Akali Dal--usually, it is Congress. In fact, Indira Gandhi supported a faction in Punjab, leading to terrorism, eventually to her death. After the aftermath of Congress' slaughtering of Sikhs in Delhi, BJP has aligned with Sikhs (hence, Akalidal). - BJP can't be anti-jatt sikh in Punjab, as Jatts own lots of agri land (whenever you see some Sikh IAS or Ph.D, consider him as non-Jatt Sikh, as a thumbrule) - Even BJP becomes anti-jatt sikh, still it has to field lots of sikhs to gain votes. This is what Congress in Punjab is facing. There, they have good hindu candidates, but due to vote bank politics, they have to field sikhs. 1 Quote

These people have lost touch with people, and they are running on the coattails of their family names. Better give reins to the elected legislators on whom to elect.
