Peddi Reddy is confident and powerful and influential in some areas too, His son is an MP and a crucial member of the parliamentary party. 

Handing over Home Ministry to Peddi Reddy will only make him more powerful and perhaps, another power center and such a thing in YCP which is about to taste its success, can create a crisis.
