Asking me letter from employer i.e university in this case regarding why they shouldn't they tax my univ grant etc. How serious is this??

looks like he is professor or associate.... he got some funds /university grant.. it appears to be that amount was not taxed.. now he got a letter why so?

Nope I'm working as a part time instructor at one community college/univ.
