After Democratic Rep. Ocasio-Cortez reacted to a study about the "revolving door" of politics with a proposed waiting period or ban on corporate lobbying by former politicians, Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas, said he agreed with her proposal. The show of compromise led to a discussion about whether Republicans and Democrats can work together on similar issues.
