But Rahman came after Ilayaraja came and vanished from movies. It looked like Rahman replaced Ilayaraja.

Rahman is a clever copycat copying music from Hollywood.

Please explain

Ilayaraja copies as well. LOL none of the Indian music directors can be "original". It's because you expect too much from them, in too quick succession. Can't blame them.

Ramesh Naidu used to give pure and natural music. He stated he did not have radio, TV, etc in his house so he does not get influenced by others’ music. He won many National Awards.

lol. Rahman was one of 3 musicians handpicked by balachander just to teach Ilayaraja a lesson. he produced 3 movies to introduce these 3 musicians. One of the movies was Roja directed by Maniratnam. Maniratnam didn't pick rahman. he doesn't have that kind of balls.

Ilayaraja was so dominant in his time, that no one can really compare with him.

directors were afraid to talk to him. He simply wrote a piece of music and improvised from there, in a very short time.

he himself has admitted that he copies, and copies from himself and others. All music is copied. except experimental music
