'Biggest victory in the history of TRS'- KTR

Though the ruling TRS faced a little setback in Lok Sabha polls, the party delivered a remarkable performance in the local body polls. Out of 5,659 MPTC and 534 ZPTC seats, TRS party has been declared victorious in 3556 MPTC & 428 ZPTC segments so far.

Reacting on the blockbuster results, TRS working President KTR said "The results are an indication that people have unanimously voted for TRS and reiterated their trust and belief in CM KCR." KTR also claimed that this is the biggest victory in the history of TRS party.

"I thank the millions of party workers and people of Telangana state. While our opponents failed to open their account in 12 districts, TRS swept the local body polls in six districts. In 6 more districts, our party has won all the seats except one."

While the Congress party took second position with 1377 MPTC and 73 ZPTC seats, Bharatiya Janata Party won 211 MPTC and 7 ZPTC seats. Surprisingly, Telugu Desham Party also opened its account by winning 21 MPTCs.
