The maiden voyage for French aerospace company Arianespace's Vega-C launch vehicle is currently planned for 2020. With the Vega-C as well as the Ariane 6, Arianespace and the European Space Agency (ESA) will conduct independent launches to further Europe's involvement in space technology and exploration.
