No.1206. Dt:02.06.2019 Read the following: 1. Memo No. GAD01-PROT0CERE(STFN)/15/2019-PROT-B-1, G.A.(Pro.B)Dept., dated:31-05-2019. 2. From the Director, DoPLr. No.3619/C1/DoP/2019, Dt:01.06.2019. 3. From the District Collector, Guntur Letter Rc. No.1117/2019-111, dated 02.06.2019. Order:- Government have decided to organize Iftar& Dinner to be hosted by The Chief Minister on 03.06.2019 evening at Guntur. Accordingly, vide Memo 1st read above, instructions have been issued to Director, Dept. of Protocol, District Collector, Guntur and other concerned for making necessary arrangements. 2. In the Letter 2nd read above, the Director, Dept. of Protocol has requested the Government to accord sanction for an amount of Rs.9,30,000/- (Rupees Nine Lakhs Thirty Thousand only) for making arrangements like catering, floral decoration and printing of invitation cards in connection with Iftar& Dinner to be hosted by The Chief Minister on 03.06.2019 at Guntur, while authorizing the Accounts Officer, Dept. of Protocol to draw and disburse the amount. 3. In the letter third read above, the District Collector has requested to sanction an amount of Rs.98,65,264/- (Rupees ninety eight lakhs sixty five thousand two hundred and sixty four only) towards food arrangements for Iftar& Dinner for 6000 members including GST, for erecting dais, pendals, seating arrangements, air conditions, LED lighting, German Hanger, barricading at various places and also to meet other miscellaneous expenditure. 4. After careful examination, Government hereby accord sanction for an amount of Rs.9,30,000/- (Rupees Nine Lakhs Thirty Thousand only) to be drawn on A.C. Bill to meet the expenditure in connection with Iftar& Diner arrangements at Guntur on 03.06.2019 to the Director of Protocol, Nowluru, Mangalagiri and for an amount of Rs.98,65,264/- (Rupees ninety eight lakhs sixty five thousand two hundred and sixty four only) to the District Collector, Guntur. (P.T.O.) -2- 5. The expenditure sanctioned in para (3) above, shall be debited to the Head of Account “2070 - Other Administrative Services - MH.800 - Other Expenditure - SH (05) - Charges in connection with State Functions - 500 - Other Charges - 503 - Other Expenditure “ 6. Under Rule 99 of A.P.F.C. Vol.I, the Accounts Officer, Office of the Department of Protocol, Nowluru is authorized to draw the amount sanctioned in para (4) above i.e., Rs.9,30,000/- on A.C. Bill and the Accounts Officer, Office of the Collector, Guntur is authorized to draw the amount sanctioned in para (4) above i.e., Rs.98,65,264/- and they are requested to submit the D.C. Bills to audit within one month from the date of drawl of the advance. Form -100 is enclosed. 7. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer, G.A.D is requested to make necessary arrangements to reallocate the funds of Rs.98,65,264/- (Rupees ninety eight lakhs sixty five thousand two hundred and sixty four only) from the Head of Account 2070-800-05-500-503 operated by the DDO Code No. 27001701025 to the DDO No.06012301001 operated by the Accounts Officer, Office of the Collector, Guntur and he is also requested to reallocate the funds of Rs.9,30,000/- (Rupees Nine Lakhs Thirty Thousand only) to the A/c. Android_Halwa Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 A total of 98 lkahs, andulo GAD duties and Protocol duties lekkana out of that 98 lakhs estimated, as this is not planned expenditure, the stae government need to reimburse for security personal,protocol officers and other general adminstration duties. anthe kani G.O lo 98 lakhs vunte, that does not mean 98 lakhs were spent on iftar party... The way government spends is not as simple as 1+1=2... For example, if a cheif minister attends an official program, some costs are asoociated wiith it like protocol,geenral administrtaion and other costs. There is an account run by GAD which covers for fuel,personal charges,protocol and administration charges and such amonunt is reelased and reimbursed to nessasary departments. If there are 100 police personal posted on the duty, the GAD will reimburse the amount to departmenr of home affairs, not the police people. This is how government accounts work... Quote

G A Protocol... a meagre amount from that will be utilsied for the actual dinner and iftar but a majority will be spent towards reimbursing the departments.. Quote

Yeah man...even I wish it would happen that way 'Telangana' is the legacy name associated with the region and include Bidar,Gulbarga,Raichur and marathwada and create the state that once existed, 'The State of Hyderabad'...and it would be a true multi-cultural society and a great hinterland state of the nation.
