Chocolate companies can't guarantee child labor-free products

Mars, Nestlé and Hershey pledged nearly two decades ago to stop using cocoa harvested by children. Yet much of the chocolate you buy still starts with child labor, The Washington Post reports.

Kids as young as 10 give up school, move away from their parents and are exposed to pesticides, machetes and other potential hazards.

Many typically make less than a $1 per day.
