 you are talking about countries still.

technically you'll be moving from one city to another.

one city which is probably has at max 3000people/sqkm, to another with 30,000/sq km, and a chance that when there's another couple deficient rainfall seasons, an overflowing migrant population into your city. with the city corporation ill equipped to handle it.

ofcourse you'll be living in those societies cut off from the rest of your neighbourhood, but you'll have to watch if your car is scratched by someone you just pissed off few weeks ago. you'll have to watch people address you with respect as if you are from a noble family.
