tacobell fan Posted June 11, 2019 Report Posted June 11, 2019 A Florida strawberry farm will pay $145,000 to settle allegations that it preferred foreign workers on H-2A agricultural guestworker visas over U.S. workers. The June 11 settlement between Sam Williamson Farms Inc. and the Justice Department is the seventh obtained under the agency’s initiative to protect U.S. workers from job displacement by temporary foreign workers. It adds to the more than $425,000 in civil penalties and $380,000 in compensation for affected workers that have been collected since the initiative launched. Quote
