Craig Hicks was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences after pleading guilty to the 2015 murder of Deah Barakat, his wife, Yusor Abu-Salha and her 19-year-old sister, Razan Abu-Salha. During the sentencing, relatives of the victims read emotional impact statements.
