Yeah I was very stressed. Thought of lodging a complaint or tweeting the experience and then saw the rules. I was wrong to carry two items technically

I had same experience with Emirates while flying from Boston last year. I had cabin bag and backpack with laptop and they allowed only one. Luckily, my cabin bag was almost empty so I put my laptop bag inside the cabin bag and the weight was over 15 lbs (16 lbs to be exact) but they said they would let it go this time. The airline person at the check-in counter warned everyone in line that they will be charged if it's over-weight or more than 1 carry-on bag, but most of them didn't care and came to the gate with 2 bags. They had a separate weigh machine at the gate and made everyone weigh their carry-on and made them pay for overweight or extra backpack before boarding the flight.

kani remember, Qatar has some restrictions in place and while coming back, multiple security checks vuntayi...once in India, once in Doha, and also at the gate...

 to make sure less hassle during this process, try not to carry too many electronics in the cabin baggage....and liquids anni clear pack lo petti...don;t stuff too many things in the cabin...okkosari hyd tarvata doha lo kuda weigh chesi paisal vasool chestaru
