These people should be happy, as they are not going to sell their small homes, and they also need to buy a piece of property for their kids (think of california Nimbys, who live in expensive homes, but their kids can't afford homes in california). The real beneficiaries are those who own acres of land--and these are well-connected locals and non-locals. Quote
