Will cricket be ever popular in USA?

Since my childhood I always wished to see a strong USA team in cricket competing against world top Test playing nations. Hoping one day cricket will be popular in USA, at least T20. Do you ever think tellolu/nallolu/makku will ever show interest in cricket or it will be popular like baseball/NFL? Or at least NHL range in popularity??

Compare cricket, which is somewhat similar to baseball and as per them it is slow and boring . infact, baseball is lot more interesting
