The British enforced cricket on US long back.. so they created their own format called Baseball coz they dont want to play a British game..

so USA will never encourage or support cricket on US Soil... future lo Desi gadu President ayyi or motham desi infested country ayithey there are little bit chances...

New countries tarvatha.. asalu existing countries lo cricket lost ground to other sports long time ago.

only indian subcontinent  countries lo matrame cricket is doing well.

england lo football, rugby, tennis,f1 inka chala sports do better than cricket

australia lo kida same .. they have many other sports

Greed of money by ICC and BCCI, combined killing the game of cricket. ICC don’t wanted cricket to be in Olympics just because they don’t want to give up broadcasting rights and don’t wanted any competition for their world events. BCCI don’t want to come under IOC radar.  Overdose of cricketing schedule and no vision to promote game all making it less popular each passing day. In 80’s football and cricket are in same level of popularity in UK now, cricket is not even the 10th percent of EPL. At least Australia is still doing better I guess because their team is constantly performing good until recently.

Many Americans don’t even know what cricket or kabbadi is and don’t want to know - just like many Americans cannot even locate emerging/developing countries like India, China on a world map. US has more freedom but it is like a closed country in some aspects - they don’t care about the rest of the world.

Metric system is easy to use right? But they are stuck in the Imperial system - pounds, miles, Fahrenheit forever due to their manufacturing/consumption scale and mindset. Only USA, Myanamar and Liberia use the imperial system while the rest of the world uses metric system.

The FUTURISTIC Trance music is not popular in the US (very popular in EU, etc) as most Americans are just “country” and not  techie and for most of them pop/rock/rap music is more than they can digest. Not surprising when they can’t even understand the simpler metric system.

But why do you wish Americans adopt cricket or expect them to like spicy food? How many Indians are adopting all American games or eating beef? When they can eat beef, they can also eat goat meat right? But goat meat is not popular in the US - except in some Indian restaurants. How does it matter if they don’t adopt cricket? It makes more sense to wish that cricket does not lose its glory in the countries that played it so far instead of expecting newer countries to adopt it.

(I never liked cricket or the ugly/un-manly soccer. I’m a Volley Ball, TableTennis, Carroms, apps/games and sports type. I love to watch Figure Skating - it is the most romantic sport there is)

Never.. Many don’t even what is cricket about & some don’t know even if that’s a sport
