I understand any immigration change needs congress's blessings. But when this administration can do a Muslims ban based on national security, they can do this too. Immigration is a hot topic now and their chief's base support, believe and ready to fight for whatever he says. A crazy executive order to ban people from India in the name of national security threat can make havoc temporarily. Already there are few reasons identified including buying oil from bad people, not allowing motorcycle sale,... Even though this might lead to court action, by that time it comes to end, the harm is done. What I am worried is, this action might embolden his base to take the next step from just trolling online to harass us in public space and might lead to racist incidents. So need to be mindful in public like not speaking loud in trains/bus/planes (already I hate few of our guys who speak loud without even considering near by people), avoid public places with maga supporters, never argue for petty things even when you are correct with them and be cool at malls and shopping places. Basically be mindful, polite and invisible as much as possible. Especially if you are not in progressive states. Best would be keep the kids updated about the situation. 1 Quote
