Jagan warning has little impact on MLAs!

On the first day of taking over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has vowed to provide a clear and corruption-free government to the people.

He also told his party MLAs at the legislature party meeting not to indulge in any sort of corruption and warned that he would not spare anybody if there were any allegations against him.

But, Jagan knows it is easier said than done. After all, you cannot expect a present day politician to be free from corrupt practices. So, the YSRC MLAs have started making money through various methods gradually.

According to reports, a YSRC MLA from Palnadu region in Guntur district allegedly demanded Rs 5 crore from an industrialist running a cement factory.

It is not exactly known whether the industrialist had paid the money to the MLA or not, but the development has come to the notice of Jagan.

Apparently, the chief minister called the MLA and gave him strict warning not to indulge in such extortions and corrupt practices in future.

Since it is not even a month since the party has come to power, he does not want the party and the government to get a bad name, Jagan told him.

However, there have been reports of the YSRC leaders sending messages to industrialists and contractors in Anantapur district, to send commissions to them on a regular basis.

May be, they are yet to come to the notice of the party boss!
