there are multiple aspects in this 

1) Girls parents should be more careful especially at that age. If she is trying to elope at that age, there is really parents fault (I am thinking she has parents and family)

ppl who commented on this story here are clueless idiots, who think punishing culprits will stop the crime. and that there  needs to be no fundamntal change in the way we treat and think about women as equals.

same guys will cry on every step to bring women on parity through govt action. They will mock ppl who speak up for women as 'feminists', but want to magically create a society where men (who they don't control) behave within the limits accepted as normal by conservative standards (which is pretty atrocious for women), while ignoring the inherent contradictions in such a set up.
