Sunday, June 23rd 2019:

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is serviced by 2 daily Air France flights - AF682/681, a 777-300. AF688/689, an A380. Air France 681 took off around 5:45pm & shortly thereafter declared an emergency due to an engine failure. A flameout during the takeoff phase is known to be a can of worms, but le professionnalisme de l'équipage de conduit & professionalism of the tower controller made it look like a walk in the park. Kudos to all involved in bringing this to a happy ending & condolences to those with ruined travel plans
