How many days depends on what you want to see. You could do 7 days just in italy. Mi budget , time and imp locations batti plan chesukondi.

paris and versailles - 2 days chaalavu but kaanivvu.. 

Italy to be honest milan waste.. go to lake como( take a lake front hotel...very nice)..stay atleast 1 night... and return back 

so 4 days should be good.. unless u are going to Venice..which more far. 

paris to milan is 7-8hr. paris to milan to venice is 12 hr minimum

why go italy... go to Belgium or Netherlands.. closer to Paris infact
