what lastmanstanding tells about them is for the most part, true. Its interesting how Xianity broke up into different sects, each carrying a part of the old culture with it. Because Polygamy was widely practised before Xianity took over.

and lot of Xian sects supporting polygamy arised only to fulfill that need for humans. However modern society looks down on such practices, and so they had to change themselves.

now the most powerful institution in the world is not a church or a mosque or a temple, its the 'market capitalism'. Once it accepts polygamy, it'll become fashion again. haha..
