Lol do you even know what a billion is? Indian population is expected to increase only around 1.55 billion by end of 2050 as per UN.

Sure, 2.5 billion by 2100...

India’s population as per 1951 census was just 360K (Ah! Those golden days!)

It has increased by a billion within the next 70 years as of now -

https://www.google.com/search?q=india+population+1950

With just 360K, Indians were able to quadruple its count in 70 years. With 1.3 billion now, producing another billion (or more) in the next 80 years (or less) is very much doable, technically.

Scary, huh? Not as much scary as the question of, “How to fit so many people in that small land and meet new demands?

Where is more WATER going to come from to meet the increased demand? We can generate electricity and other stuff but not water. It is what it is.

For every person dying in India, there are 3 new babies being produced. Population growth of India by year with a plethora of interesting statistical and historical data -

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_India

1.1% change each year and fertility rate of 2.2 (1 dies and 3 new are born formula, maybe)

https://www.google.com/search?q=india+population+growth+by+year

Sadly, NO ONE (including politicians) is talking about population control. It may be one BIG bubble going to blow up and explode in our face like a BOMB one day - suddenly! And then we are done. It is shocking that politicians are advising people detrimentally to produce more children! That’s so ridiculous!!

There was no water scarcity in olden days with less population - as we have now. The issue will only get WORSE and does not go away or resolve on its own magically. Nations have suffered due to indecision than wrong decision. Politicians should talk about production - NOT reproduction!
