Hangovers at work cost the U.K. economy up to $1.8 billion a year

According to the Institute of Alcohol Studies, this is in addition to the $9.3 billion overall economic costs associated with alcohol. Researchers also found that 9% of British workers have worked either hungover or drunk in the past 6 months.
