HCL and Boeing 737 read this

The problem for 737 max is not in code, it's engineering design flaw followed by keeping it as secret though they knew it.

They didn't train the pilots enough. They wanted a plane that can beat it's rival Airbus in short span of time.

I highly doubt if HCL was included in this.. I think HCL is not capable for working on something like this.

They are bunch of  idiots..  they can do some programming and maintenance not something related to electrical software.

hehe code rasindi HCL aina.. leka ameerpet lo unna naresh technologies aina the blame wont go to them... the blame would solely go to FAA for letting the plane fly when boeing tried to not re-certify it as a new model but fixed the cracks with a duct tape... what a bunch of morons

Hcl vaadu clear ga we are not involved ani chepthonte. Also Boeing vaadu hcl is not involved ani chepthonte. Sounds very propagandist and shifting the blame elsewhere. Very very inaccurate and convoluted piece of reporting

There is nothing to "slip" in the software approval... chala mandhi confuse avthunnaru thinking there is an error in the software which is not true..

SW lo elanti problem ledu, but the problem is the way they used the SW... for example, they wanted the software to to add 2+2 and give the flight an answer of 4, and the software exactly does that and spits out an answer of 4 when the conditions are met (2+2 in this case). However, the 4 is not what they want here, which means they used the wrong equations at a wrong place.

There are multi level errors in this disaster, starting from the length of the landing gear to engine position which they tried to rectify by some computer programming. FAA acted blind in this entire process and let Boeing not go through a re certification which is needed for a every new model airplane.

I don't trust what spox of Boeing and HCL say, since their statements are provided by their legal counsel.  Here is what Boeing said:

Quote

Boeing, however, has refuted the allegation, saying it did not rely on engineers from these companies for the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation (MCA) System, a fault in which allegedly caused Lion Air crash in October 2018 and the Ethiopian Airlines disaster in March. Boeing has also denied involving these engineers for addressing cockpit warning light issue, which was revealed after these crashes. As many as 356 people were killed in these two crashes.

The above doesn't contradict this scenario: Boeing gave specs or requirements for some piece of it; HCL would have developed; Boeing would have it tested by another Vendor or another in house team; etc. This amounts to "Not relying on engineers from HCL, Cyient".
