In the 2018 midterm elections, Florida voters came out in overwhelming support of reinstituting voting rights to former felons who had completed their sentences. On Friday, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law SB 7066, which requires former felons to pay all court fines and fees before they are able to register to vote.
