but the old IITs are, and there are stories of students death every year.

dozens discontinuing the course is common too..

IIT Madras in particular, with which I'm closely associated with (as a licensee of their patents), is a disgusting casteist network.

it breaks my heart to see brilliant students who work on path breaking projects, casually dismiss the others as irrelevant. any attempt to tell them what you think just exposes you as the 'other'.

no point in telling them anyway. They are part of the problem, inspite of their brilliance. and to bring them down, you have to create alternate structures where others are welcome.
