So, you mean if a movie makes certain amount of collections, then the director has to keep quiet ?

That implies, people who make money has to keep quiet and people who don't will get a chance to comment or criticise...

that means, all the people who are criticising are the one's who did not get any money from Kabir Singh's release...and if givern money, they are also expected to keep their mouths shut because they have been paid ?

you cannot understand because you don't care to actually read what is written, instead choosing to focus on picking one word out of context. why the hurry? I'm not Sandeep Vanga, running away after making a statement.

yes. moviemakers shouldn't talk about a movie, because they are bad at talking. this applies to all makers. I even made a thread about it, paralleling what MF Hussain did at the height of agitations against his paintings on hindu goddesses. he refused to explain his art, one way or the other. He just said that he respects hindu traditions, and his intention is not to insult them. simple.

you knowwhy? he has no way to express his art. He's not a writer. Same Vanga is not a writer (writing for cinema doesn't count as writing, because its bullshit). He should've learned how to bypass tricky questions, or found a way to answer them uncontroversially.

about the money a movie makes. yeah, it feels good when you've made tons of money. The satisfaction of not having to toil away like others have to, to put food on the table should give you a sense of relief and thanks for your lucky stars. Instead here, the director thinks the money is not enough, he needs everyone to agree with him, and is not even making intelligent defense of his position.

Vanga is a prick, and he's being shown his place. that people have come to his defense is immaterial. When he grows as a person, if he grows, he'll realise taht he made a stupid comment, and should avoid it in the future. taht's enough.

the people who speak out against the movie, are either posturing for attention like Samantha, or in some cases have genuine issues, like having escaped an abusive relationship.

you, and vanga, pick the easiest target (samantha) to pooh-pooh every other concern. yeah, I know you are expert at politics and side stepping stuff to suit your narrative, but Vanga is a public figure, and he will be hounded with this question everytime.

Movie ni on its merits review chesi, whatever they felt about glorifying masculinity or other things that bothered annavi separate opinion piece kinda or personal social networking space lo criticize chesuntey would have got more positive reception emo

Probably they naively felt review is where they attract most attention ani chose that platform to express their personal view on feminism in larger context there by overshadowing the actual movie review

Vanga has a point but he lacks the intellect and sharpness of rgv so came across as a borderline ignorant and arrogant brat in failing to articulate
