07/05/2019: House Scheduled to Vote on the Floor H.R. 1044 Bill Next Week (Thursday or Friday)!

• As we reported on 06/25/2019, the sponsors of this bill reached 311 Congress people, which exceeds the majority of the House members, but the bill has been stuck at the subcommittee level and could not move onto the House floor for the vote. For the reasons, the primary sponsor of the bill, Rep. Zoe Lofgren filed a motion to suspend the rule and take the bill on the House floor by passing committees. Report indicates that the House leaders have agreed to place this bill on the House floor later part of next week. The bill is likely to be taken up either next Thursday or Friday.
• Once the House passes this bill, it will also add the press on the Senate members, more than 30 Senators have already joined the sponsorship. There is no guarantee, but for now, the future of this legislation is getting brighter. Once this bill is legislated into a law, it will remove per country limit to employment-based immigration annual quota, and the employment-based immigration that has been more or less frozen because of the per country limit will see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Let's cross the fingers!!

Senate lo etlaina rod pedtaru ee bill ki.. Enduku man ee hopes. Unless we have the same party in the house, senate with 60% majority and a president also from the same party it's impossible to pass any immigration related bills..
