bbmercury09 Posted July 9, 2019 Report Posted July 9, 2019 I would suggest you to stay with your desi employer for 6 months after your I140 is approved. Filing GC in FT is not as simple as Desi companies. You are never guaranteed of when your GC will be filed. If there are any lay offs in your company, they will not initiate any GC process for 6 months. I have seen one of my friends waited until 6 yrs before his GC got filed. Its a lot of mental tension to wait until last year. Safe bet is to get I140 with desi employer and then move out . Quote
