Hitman Posted July 10, 2019 Report Posted July 10, 2019 The plane was a 32-year-old MD-88 with engines on the fuselage near the tail, ABC News reported. Delta offered a $30 food voucher to passengers. Quote

As bombardier was Canadian, Boeing field a case of dumping on Bombardier as Boeing did not have a production model in this category and lobbied to impose almost 300% hike in taxes as this A220 was being produced in Canada. Boeing actually makes more money out of MD-8X series in the name of maintenance and spares and up gradations than it would make money by selling a new aircraft and enforced non competing agreements with its partner airlines and so airlines especially American and Delta did not had a choice other than to fly MD-8x series. 1 Quote
