మగ ఏనుగు లైంగిక దాడిలో ఆడ ఏనుగు మృతి

పోస్టుమార్టంలో తేలినట్లు అటవీశాఖాధికారుల వెల్లడి

పలమనేరు గ్రామీణ: ఒక మగ ఏనుగు జరిపిన లైంగిక దాడిలో ఓ ఆడ ఏనుగు మృతి చెందింది. తొలుత అనారోగ్యం కారణంగా మృతి చెందిందని భావించిన అటవీశాఖాధికారులు పోస్టుమార్టం అనంతరం ఈ విషయాన్ని నిర్ధరించారు. చిత్తూరు జిల్లా పలమనేరు మండలం మండిపేట కోటూరు అటవీ బీట్‌ పరిధిలోని చెత్తపెంట అటవీ ప్రాంతంలో ఒక ఏనుగు మృతదేహాన్ని కొందరు పశువుల కాపరులు గుర్తించారు. అనారోగ్యంతో రెండు రోజుల కిందట ఆ ఏనుగు మృతి చెంది ఉండవచ్చని ప్రాథమికంగా భావించారు. ఆ మేరకు ఉన్నతాధికారులకు వారు వివరాలు అందించారు. దీనిపై చిత్తూరు జిల్లా ఇన్‌ఛార్జి డీఎఫ్‌ఓ శ్రీనివాసులు, పలమనేరు ఎఫ్‌ఆర్‌ఓ మదన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డితో కలిసి ఆ ఏనుగు మృతదేహాన్ని పరిశీలించి ఇతర వివరాలపై ఆరా తీశారు. మృతి చెందిన ఏనుగుతో పాటు మరో పిల్ల ఏనుగు అక్కడే ఉండేదని అది ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లిందో తెలియలేదని వాచర్లు తెలిపారు. సోమవారం రాత్రి ఆడ ఏనుగు మృతదేహానికి పోస్టుమార్టం నిర్వహించగా.. అది లైంగిక దాడికి గురై మృతి చెందినట్లు తేలిందని అటవీశాఖాధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
