Paul cited the growing federal deficit to block the Democrats' attempt to pass an extension of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, which would reauthorize funding until 2090.

First, veterans' affairs are different from this particular bill. This bill specifically addresses the 9/11 first responders.

Veterans are cared for by the VA. They have their own thing going on with underfunded VA hospitals and counseling centers.  That is a seprate bill. If I am not wrong that bill is still pending.

you know what? I'm not US citizen, i am least cared who they care and who they don't. I just talked from humane perspective any life is precious and should be treated good but unfortunately diplomacy is much bigger than a life. So let's be it.
