A reporter for New York's NY1 received praise for his assertive yet respectful approach after Kentucky Senator Rand Paul blocked a 9/11 Victims Compensation fund, citing the national deficit. While Paul rebuffed the questions and told the reporter, Deevan Vittal, to "tune in to Fox News", Vittal sought clarification from Paul over his debt concerns.

his worry is that we are increasing debt rather than try to get that money from other areas. he wants the bill to be funded by moving money from other avenues rather than take loan and increase debt.
