Jagan and his wife get special passports

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan and his wife YS Bharti had been to a regional passport office in Vijayawada on Saturday. Both Jagan and Bharti received Diplomatic Passports. This special privilege is only offered to Chief Ministers by the Union External Affairs ministry.

Earlier, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu had this diplomatic passport. Defeat in the recent assembly elections made him lose CM seat and also the special privileges. Last month he went to Vijayawada passport office and handed over his diplomatic passport.

The person who holds a diplomatic passport enjoys red carpet treatment from international governments. His check-ins will be hassle-free and also get tax exemption too.
