if you are really looking for manual fun go for a mazda mx-5. if you need 4 doors you can opt for civic type R. If you increase your budget a little more, BMW M series is more fun.  I drove both

2018 premium ... 27 short drive ( i drive 10 miles for work)....

long trips more than 100 miles 30 -32 around .. all with 93 octane
