Committee Finds Corruption in Polavaram, What Next Jagan?

Experts Committee has found fault with the works of Polavaram National Irrigation Project that were sanctioned by the previous government. The Committee reportedly found corrupt practices in the works of Polavaram. In its report to AP state government, the Experts Committee has recommended to terminate the existing contracts accorded by the previous government. 

The committee further advised the state government to call for 'Reverse Tendering'. The committee observed that the contractors gained huge by the previous government's decision to increase the estimates of the project. 

It opined that Transstroy company has reportedly gained thousands of crores with previous government's decision. The Experts Committee also raised its objections over the advance payments made to the contractors of Power Project.

With this, the ball is now in CM Jagan's court. All eyes are on YS Jagan on his next action step. But still, there are several technical glitches for Jagan to call for 'Reverse Tendering' on Polavaram works as Jagan has to take the Centre's nod to call for the Reverse Tendering. 

On the other hand, one has to wait and see, whether the contractors will now come at the previous price or will they come at higher price. How Jagan is going to tackle the whole issue needs to be seen.

For now, the Experts Committee's report is seen as a big blow to former CM Chandrababu Naidu and former Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma. TDP leaders are yet to react on the Experts Committee's findings on Polavaram.

expert committee consists of YCP ministers anukunta, So it is not valid according to Pilla Congress.
