HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is not unduly worried about the mounting debts staring in Telanganas face. He says his government is planning to borrow 1.18 lakh crore more for completing various projects.

 

Claiming that rich countries like the United States and Japan are also not spared from huge debts, the CM said the government's borrowings had never crossed the fiscal responsibility and budget management (FRBM) limit and not defaulted on repayment to the financial institutions. He, however, admitted that Telangana has borrowings to the tune of 2.3 lakh crore.
