PCC clearance for Canada app question

Hello janta, did any one go in person to get the PCC from the embassy? Excerpt from the site. mana passport issue adhe location embassy ninche iyi undala? Example - Passport issued Chicago, going to sf for PCC in person work itunda?

Indian Embassy will issue the PCC immediately on same day if you visit in person and your passport was issued by that embassy.

PCC issuing is no longer happening in One day since last year due to increase in volume, also note, if the Embassy don't find your name they will send application to India and it will cost min 45-60 days depending on where you born. If you are lucky enough you will get it same day. Good luck.

If the passports are renewed in USA, same day la pani aipotadi but we need to visit the same consulate which issued the passport or else oka 5-6 days. 

Even if the passport is renewed in india in the last two years, I saw people getting PCC in 20-25 days..

my friend who now lives in Canada got it done from FBI and as well as Indian Embassy. If you 're living in the US for a very long time say like 10 years, you might not need the Indian side clearance
