Dear comrade... Over hyped movie...2.5/5

I am the biggest supporter of new age cinema... But here director tried too many things... Flat screenplay. Some how you get a dejavu feeling like some scenes are similar to his other recent movies. 

Canteeen song is not in movie.... Climax is cringeworthy - way overhyped acting of rashmika. It's also short...expected a lengthy and convincing action with powerful dialogues from her , but it looks like it got cut. 

This pair chemistry is great though and few scenes are really good. Locations and acting are realistic . First half is average and ended on a positive note. Second half tried to do too many things.

 

Update after a day : 

Positives : All songs , picturization, chemistry (superb), rashmika acting for most part, VD acting is great always, locations and overall theme, again VD taking a second fiddle to rashmika is praise worthy, rashmika without makeup most of the movie ...

Negatives :

2 stories in one movie, comrade theory is not that relevant, few supporting actors not good, few scenes are half baked ( psychiatric..),  wedding song would have been avoided,  some cliche scenes. 

i think the slow pace and flat narration would've worked if there are no other issues... But on the whole , you feel bored many times which is a major issue...and the weight of the expectation is way high.

Ayithe 2 antava ? Maybe first day first show and girls behind me were cheering a lot, so I thought others liked it more than me. Yeah personally it's a big let down for me.
