When a family that was successful for few generations, fails in the current  generation, that family seeks out all kinds of solutions: yaaga, japa, homa, vaastu. That's how it goes. 

In my village, our neighbor is a vysya family. For generations, they were rich in terms of gold and land. However, trouble started with the current gen and the previous gen: they had to sell properties, and the current gen kids are not that successful. They even invited a vaastu guy from Proddatur "Gauru Tirupati Reddy". In those days, in our area, we hardly saw any cars visiting our village, except during MLA/MP elections. This vaastu guy came in an ambassador car, and advised of many changes in their home. They removed some stuff, added some stuff, etc. End result: no change in their fortunes. A few years down the road, a wild fox visited their home--and that event was "oka vintha".  Now villagers started saying that it was a bad omen. Next homas and japas. End result: no change in their fortunes. 

In general, think of "regression to the mean". Kids of tall parents can't grow forever; at some point, they will end up back to the mean. Same thing with fortunes, unless you can set up a trust fund, run by professionals. 99.9999% of Indians don't fall in this trust fund category.  You can see all the drama of desi uncles in America: they want to see their kids more successful than they are--in other words, they want to see their kids making $500K per annum right after graduation. You can see the dramas they go through: best prep schools, coaching for admissions, volunteering in Indian slums (as if these kids are so sensitive to the poor), trying to get a slot at HYP. Not many kids end up being as successful as their parents are. 

Maybe, every successful desi (two incomes, 2 homes, $3M assets) needs a vaastu check, a japa check, a homa check every year, along with their health check.

East facing homes ki ventialltion and morning sun Baga tagultudhi.. used to do Surya namaskaras in India..you will charge fully.. 

 

That has some value ..even rich villas in France are east facing to make use of majority of sunlight.
