The group war in Chittoor YCP is out in open when YCP leaders of the district have organized a felicitation ceremony to Nagari MLA Roja, who recently took charge as APIIC chairman in Amaravati and was making her visit to home town after she assumed office. 
She had reached the venue in an open-top jeep along with husband Selvamani after a rally in the town. The town leaders have invited Roja onto the dais, followed by her husband, followed by other important leaders from the mandals of Putturu, Vadamalapeta. However, the former Municipal Chairman KJ Kumar and former Municipal Chairperson KJ Shanti couple were not yet called upon to the dais. 
Felt ignored and insulted, KJ couple marched onto the stage and had a heated argument with Roja. KJ couple alleged that the caste is the reason for ignoring them. They alleged that Roja is encouraging caste politics and family rule. KJ couple said they won't encourage such things in Nagari. Although Roja and cops tried to pacify KJ couple and their followers, KJ Kumar and KJ Shanti later made angry speeches at the event. They said such acts of casteism can't be tolerated in the party and stated that they would take up the issue to party chief and CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.  Speaking at the event, KJ Kumar said he was the one who had invited Roja into YCP to contest on the party after she had lost twice on TDP ticket. Kumar said he had played a crucial role in making Roja win twice as Nagiri MLA. He also alleged that cases had been leveled against him and his family members during TDP rule. He said he had been patiently enduring all of these for the party. He alleged that family involvement (Kutumba Palana) and caste politics are increasingly worrying party leaders in Nagari.  Meanwhile, Roja has responded on the issue. She said she has become MLA only after the people of all Mandals voted for her. She said no one is her favorite and no one is not her favorite. She said small disturbances in the party would be solved soon.
