Wildfires and floods are severely impacting Russia's Siberian region

According to Russian media, at least 1.6 million hectares (16,000 km² or nearly 4 million acres) of forest are on fire in Siberia, though other reports suggest the fires are topping 3 million hectares (29,000 km² or 7 million acres) now. Elsewhere in the region, floods have prompted the evacuation of over 1,000 people.
