Reason they gave is to avoid Mom going to jail. Thatha doesn't know mom accidentally fired or kid did to himself then why did thatha clean up the scene? sons reaction to see kid die is to cover up, that didn't make much sense also. 

And thatha with his medical condition is risk to himself and others but to sayisfy ego roaming around WITH A GUN and kid at home like no issue with son doing nothing. Nakithe chala silly anipichindi.

order lo chusthe .. it may make sense .. thatha has a mental condition .. he cleans up d kid's body & forgets .. son is already aware wat happened to kid .. so no suspecting thatha there .. fast forward thatha tries to investigate abt kids death on his own & finds out .. that his gun was misused & that cud land his son / DIL in jail .. so he burns all evidences .. hides his gun as well .. as it might reveal missing bullets ..

thatha keeps repeating the above activity all over again & again coz he keeps forgetting & wonders if his condition has anything to do with it .. son doesnt want anyone to kno abt kid coz if ppl come to know .. then they'll also come to know abt gun misused & thatha's mental condition causing embarrassment which both thatha & son trying to avoid! Son continues to pretend his kid is missing & keeps looking ..

Nenu adey ankuntunna. Why so silence here ani. Thanks for sharing urs. Yah Lucky Bhasker was good. He carried the movie well, even though there are minor flaws in logic but overall v good movie
