Tens of thousands departed Bangladeshi's capital of Dhaka over the weekend, hoping to get back to their hometown in time for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha. People jostled for room as they squeezed themselves into ferries, while others took the train and scrambled on top of the cabins for space. In Bangladesh, Eid al-Adha will be observed on Monday, August 12, due to the sighting of the moon.
