According to two separate recently-published studies, microscopic particles of plastic are raining down in the Rockies, a Canadian-American mountain range, and snowing down over the Arctic. Scientists believe the plastic particles are being carried by winds and mixing with precipitation, underscoring the threat the growing form of pollution now poses to marine life in even the remotest waters on the planet.
