Would the direction matter? If it is not infinite it should be closed. Closed bodies have curvatures. Inside or outside.

Direction matters if it has a boundary.... For example if it boundary system then the shape will be Oval/ circle/square/ or any other.... Then the direction matters ... as one point would be closer than the other....depending upon where the earth is in that closed system....if you are not looking far enough

true that.... Scientists actually corrected themselvs the expansion is growing instead of reducing... First we need to understand dark matter and dark energy .

then it would give us more clear idea about universe sizee
