How much did USA spend on each of their Apollo missions and what did they achieve? May be those 500 people didnt had that much money to spend to just land and come back. Americans realised they couldn't do any thing on moon with the technology then and even today so they are spending less money on low earth orbit missions(space station) to experiment how will living outside earth effect us. They have learned so much today then before, so atleast in future if they want to go back they can stay and do some thing there. Quote
